2.5. User Defined Dynamics

2.5.1. Overview

Flow360 offers a powerful tool to modify solution values based on additional dynamics defined by the user.

This allows users to model many additional adjoint physical processes that cannot be simulated using traditional computational fluid dynamics alone.

Some examples include:

• modifying the angle of attack to achieve a desired flight condition

• modifying the mesh to simulate the movement of a given body

• modifying a propeller RPM to meet a given condition of either thrust or torque

• rotating flaps behind a wing to get a desired lift

• pitching a blade according to various criteria (azimuthal angle, load on the blade etc.)
