tidy3d.PECConformal#
- class PECConformal[source]#
Bases:
AbstractSubpixelAveragingMethodApply a subpixel averaging method known as conformal mesh scheme to PEC boundaries.
- Parameters:
attrs (dict = {}) – Dictionary storing arbitrary metadata for a Tidy3D object. This dictionary can be freely used by the user for storing data without affecting the operation of Tidy3D as it is not used internally. Note that, unlike regular Tidy3D fields,
attrsare mutable. For example, the following is allowed for setting anattrobj.attrs['foo'] = bar. Also note that Tidy3D` will raise aTypeErrorifattrscontain objects that can not be serialized. One can check ifattrsare serializable by callingobj.json().timestep_reduction (ConstrainedFloatValue = 0.3) – Reduction factor between 0 and 1 such that the simulation’s time step size is
1 - timestep_reductiontimes its default value. Accuracy can be improved with a smaller time step size, but the simulation time will be increased.
Note
The algorithm is based on:
